Playwright Profile: Chuck Muckle, "RUNNING FOR MY LIFE" at The BBTF 2017

Chuck Muckle has been an actor for 40 years.

He has also collaborated in earlier plays, but is debuting his newest work, a solo playwriting work, RUNNING FOR MY LIFE, at the Broadway Bound Theatre Festival this Friday, August 18, 2017.

Last year, he directed both In Love with the Arrow Collar Man and Mourning Becomes Ridiculous (one of four musicals co-written with David Eisner) at the New York New Works Theatre Festival, as well as Animal Story, a musical co-authored with Lance Ringel, at the Midtown International Theatre Festival. Chuck has been an actor for four decades on stage and screen, appearing most recently in The Night Before with Seth Rogen. Running for My Life marks his solo debut as a playwright.

The Story: Meet Jay Chas: his relationship is coming apart, his family struggles with the loss of a loved one, and a strange and confusing apparition haunts him. His coping skills are at an ebb as he looks to running as his escape and the ultimate peacemaker as he rebuilds the fragments of his life. Jay Chas pieces together the fragments of his life, family and relationship using running as his escape, his nemesis and ultimately, his peacemaker.
