How far would you go to claim your inheritance? For playwright Cody Buser, that's exactly where the premise of his new play, debuting at the Summerfest Theatre Festival, goes!

IMAGINE this story...

Three estranged siblings – Theo, the "rainbow" sheep of the family who runs from any and all responsibilities; Molly, the single mother trying to keep her life together as best she can; and Chelsea, the overbearing, controlling mother of two (not to mention her younger siblings) – come together when they decide to dig up their deceased father and reclaim the inheritance he took to the grave.

But as family secrets are unburied, and faces from their pasts resurface, their familial bond is stretched to the limits. Can money truly make them happy, even if it's not as a family?

Cody has been acting and writing since grade school. He earned his B.A. in English: Creative Writing at SUNY New Paltz 2014, focusing on theater in his final semester. His plays have been published in the Stones throw Review and produced in his home town of Saugerties, NY at Sebsi Studios, as well as in Manhattan at the Hudson Guild Theater as part of the 2016 Thespis Theater Festival.

Cody's new play, "LET'S DIG UP DAD" is at the Summerfest 2017 Hudson Guild Theatre, 441 W. 26th Street, NYC.
